We’ve been busy getting ourselves established in the social media scene, catching up on the “best practices” for small businesses in this modern technological age.
We’ve still got a ways to go in setting our profiles up and getting going with getting our content in there and engaging with you all, but please do stop by our sites and say hello!
Why NCS is “going social”
It’s long been established that every business, especially a small business, needs a website. Close behind that, the next “must have” that came along was a blog.
Now, in the year 2011, smart businesses have themselves a whole swag of “must have” social media profiles, such as…
Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/NorfolkCorporateSupport
The mother of all social media sites. Facebook, often still viewed as the online meeting place of teens and “tweens”, presents businesses with an opportunity to engage with their customers and fans in a way never before possible.
We have been on Facebook for only a short while and are still finding out feet. Stop by and say hello and let us know what you’d like to see from NCS in the future.
Twitter
http://www.twitter.com/ncsservices
Twitter is possibly the most misunderstood of the social media sites and often needs to be used before someone can really understand its benefits.
Twitter is a place where people from all over the world engage in conversations about anything from their local supermarket to their daily habits to global events like the Queensland Floods, the Egypt protests and the WikiLeaks scandal and all this in the space of the first two months of 2011!
Brands and businesses also use Twitter to engage with their customers and users by listening into conversations, offering support and communication about issues people might be having and seeking the best possible way to bring their business to the people.
We’re on Twitter and would love to connect. Be sure to say hello when you follow us and we’ll say hi back!
LinkedIn
http://au.linkedin.com/in/suenorfolk
LinkedIn, unlike many of its social cousins, is older and wiser. Hailing from Ye Olde year of 2003, it has grown to become the most widely adopted “professional social networking site” online.
With a myriad of uses, LinkedIn provides everyone from job seekers to employers to business owners and entrepreneurs a platform to network with businesses, colleagues, clients, customers and much more.
Email Newsletter
Since around 2005, we’ve been writing a periodic newsletter with information that relates to corporate secretarial practice, ASIC compliance, accounting and tax changes and other business-related articles.
With a change in formatting in 2010, our enewsletter has never looked better and is delivered effortlessly straight to your inbox, for free, every quarter!
You can sign up for our newsletter by filling in the form in the top-right corner of this page (under the header area).
Blogging

Considering you’re reading this page on our blog now, I don’t think I really need to talk too much about what a blog is.
How it relates to us as a business, however, is another matter.
Blogging is a way to create a conversation space between you and the general public by providing informative, interesting, educational and worthwhile articles that can then be passed to friends and colleagues, helping to spread the name of your brand and the reputation of your expertise.
