Hey there!
Our newsletter really is chock full of interesting pieces this quarter and there’s barely any room to draw breath!
Firstly, with just under two weeks to go until we run our Business Names Go National seminar, we just wanted to stress the importance of the information that is going to be presented on this day. It’s not only important for accounting and legal firms to know about the changes to business names, but also for their clients (the business owners) who may be affected by the changes. Please consider signing up if you think that you would like to attend.
From there, we take you straight into some really interesting articles that cover a range of topics. We’ve shared an update from Brenda Hutchinson from TAG Financial Services which deals with what repairs are considered “improvements” on properties held in self-managed super funds that have been effected by the floods, bushfires or cyclones.
We then move on to share details about several government and federal court decisions that relate to trusts, the remunerations of directors in listed companies, the patent system and copyright laws.
We celebrate the announcement of the Australian Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AWCCI), launched on the centenary of International Women’s Day.
We then have a brief article that discusses recent changes to the product licensing for BGL’s Corporate Affairs Software (CAS) and how it may affect how many companies you can store in your database.
Finally, we have some housekeeping with the closure dates & order deadlines for our office in the coming couple of months and we also announce our presence on the social web!
Hope you find something that tickles your fancy and we look forward to any feedback you may have – feel free to leave a comment on our articles if you’d like to see more like them or if you’d like to discuss something about the information within!
Catch you next time,
James Simon
